Roman Tally is the main character in the story The Only Thing We Have to Fear.
Description:
Roman Tally is sixteen years old, 5'9", and Caucasian. He has brunette hair that's longer on top and shorter on the sides, cut with scissors, not a razor. He tends to push his hair back off his face and does minimal styling with it, it also naturally parts on the left side of his head. One eye is green; the other is blue. He is thin and dainty with sharp, angular features.

He is extroverted and charismatic with a tendency to step on other's feelings. After years of living like this, he's just accepted that he's going to break some hearts--you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet. He doesn't consider anyone his friend, but all of his acquaintances are normally incredibly fascinating people who don't always think inside the bounds of logic. He sees patterns and is very good at organizing things, but keeping things organized is a struggle; his locker and his room are normally extremely messy (to the point of receiving complaints from people, though he knows better than to keep food in places he can't keep clean), and he's always more prepared mentally to go through his schedule in backward order than for things to just go according to plan. Due to being alone in a crowd for so long, he doesn't expect relationships to last forever, often anticipating their downfall, thus he feels he has no need for upkeep and maintaining relationships, expecting there to be more fish in the sea and he will come across new sets of friends regularly. He has become very paranoid that since things never go according to plan, he shouldn't make plans and expects plans to self-destruct. He is simultaneously aware and quite unaware that he is often the smartest and most talented person in the room, but never realizes that other people oftentimes give him credit where credit is due.
